The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And our fathers too?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
