Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
