Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the hands of AbiLahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
