Surely, God will not forgive the ascribing of partners to Him. He forgives whoever He will for anything other than that. Whoever ascribes partners to God has strayed far indeed. 116 In His stead, they invoke only lifeless symbols - thus invoking none but a rebellious Satan 117 Allah did curse him, but he said: "I will take of Thy servants a portion Marked off; 118 and I will lead them astray, and fill them with fancies and I will command them and they will cut off the cattle's ears; I will command them and they will alter God's creation.' Whoso takes Satan to him for a friend, instead of God, has surely suffered a manifest loss. 119 The Satan maketh them promises and filleth them with vain desires. and Satan promiseth them not but delusion. 120 Such people will dwell in hell fire from which they will not be able to escape. 121 We will admit the righteously striving believers to Paradise wherein streams flow and they will live therein forever. God's promise is true for no one is more truthful than Him. 122 It may not accord with your wishful thinking - nor with the wishful thinking of the followers of earlier revelation - [that] he who does evil shall be requited for it, and shall find none to protect him from God, and none to bring him succour, 123 whereas anyone - be it man or woman - who does [whatever he can] of good deeds and is a believer withal, shall enter paradise, and shall not be wronged by as much as [would fill] the groove of a date-stone. 124 And who is there that has a fairer religion than he who submits his will to God being a good-doer, and who follows the creed of Abraham, a man of pure faith? And God took Abraham for a friend. 125 And to Allah only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth; and Allah has control over all things. 126
