We created mankind from clay, molded from mud, 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man (Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 28 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down making obeisance to him. 29 The angels bowed in homage in a body 30 Except Iblis (Satan), - he refused to be among the prostrators. 31 He said: O Iblis! What aileth thee that thou art not among the prostrate? 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 And surely on you is curse until the day of judgment. 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 until the day of a known time." 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves. 40 (To which God) said: "This way is right by Me. 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 For whom the ordained place is surely Hell, 43 It has seven gates; for every gate there shall be a separate party of them. 44

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
