۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth), 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
