Therefore continue to give warning, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say, 'He is a poet for whom we await Fate's uncertainty'? 30 Say: 'Wait if you will; I shall be waiting with you' 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Are with them the treasures of thy Lord! or are they the dispensers? 37 Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm)? Then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 Surely there are other torments besides this for those who are wicked, though most of them do not know. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 and glorify Him after the setting of the stars. 49
