▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 In a book that is protected 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
