۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 They announced “These people are a small group.” 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 “And indeed we are an alert army.” 56 So We turned them out of gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me." 62 So We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Strike the sea with your staff”; thereupon the sea parted; so each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
