3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nooh prayed to Us so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
