And We have not created the heaven and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve from the Fire. 27 Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked? 28 (This is) a Book (the Quran) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember. 29 And We bestowed on David, Solomon. How excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (toward Allah). 30 And when one evening well-trained and running horses of noble breed were brought to him 31 he said, "My love of horses for the cause of God has made me continue watching them until sunset, thus making me miss my prayer". 32 "Bring them back to me." then began he to pass his hand over (their) legs and their necks. 33 Indeed, We tried Solomon and placed a body (of a child) upon his throne, then he repented. 34 He said: "My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: Verily, You are the Bestower." 35 So we subjugated the wind to his service which carried his merchandise wheresoever he wished; 36 and We also subjected the devils to him -- all kinds of builders and divers; 37 And other demons bound in chains. 38 'This is Our gift; bestow or withhold without reckoning.' 39 Indeed an exalted position of nearness awaits him and an excellent resort. 40
