The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
