The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 pay their religious tax 4 who guard their privates, 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
