The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Sin Mim. 1 These are verses of the clear Book. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 they have indeed rejected the message. But the truth of what they laughed to scorn will dawn upon them before long. 6 Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? 7 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. 8 Your Lord is the Majestic and the All-merciful. 9
