Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 labouring, weary, 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 in a sublime garden, 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 and raised couches, 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 However, as for him who turns away, being bent on denying the truth, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
