The tree of Zaqqum 43 Is food for the sinful. 44 like molten copper, bubbling in the belly 45 like the boiling of hot water. 46 (It will be said) "Seize him and drag him into the midst of blazing Fire, 47 then pour over his head the chastisement of boiling water!' 48 They will be told, "Suffer the torment. You had thought yourselves to be majestic and honorable. 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 Lo! those who kept their duty will be in a place secured. 51 In the midst of gardens and of springs, 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 We shall unite them to maidens with big black and white lovely eyes. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit, in peace and security. 55 They will not taste death again in it, except their former death; and Allah has saved them from the punishment of fire. 56 an act of thy Sustainer's favour: and that, that will be the triumph supreme! 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Therefore wait; surely they are waiting. 59
