Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
