The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
