The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the (Day) of Noise and Clamour? 2 Would that you knew what the crash is! 3 [It is] a Day when mankind shall be like scattered moths 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 He will live a pleasant life (in Paradise). 7 but he whose scales weigh lighter, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what do you know what that is? 10 A fire hotly burning! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
