The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
