Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
