And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 Assuredly We purified them with a quality most pure, the remembrance of the Abode, 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 Gardens of Eternity, whose doors will (ever) be open to them; 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
