Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble scribes 11 Who know what you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
