The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Woe unto the scrimpers: 1 Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure, 2 but when they have to measure or weigh whatever they owe to others, give less than what is due! 3 Do not these think that they shall be raised again 4 (To be raised) for a Great Day? 5 the Day when people will stand before the Lord of the Worlds? 6 No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen. 7 How will you comprehend what Sijjin is? 8 A record [indelibly] inscribed! 9 Woe, that Day, to the deniers, 10 those that give the lie to the Day of Recompense. 11 And none deny it except every sinful transgressor. 12 When Our communications are recited to him, he says: Stories of those of yore. 13 Nay, but that which they have earned is rust upon their hearts. 14 No indeed; but upon that day they shall be veiled from their Lord, 15 Then, verily they will indeed enter and taste the burning flame of Hell. 16 Then it shall be said to them, 'This is that you cried lies to.' 17 Indeed the record of the virtuous is in the highest place, the Illiyin. 18 And what do you know what the Record of the exalted ones is? 19 A record [indelibly] inscribed, 20 Attested by those who are brought near (unto their Lord). 21 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 22 Reclining on couches, looking on. 23 Thou wilt recognize in their faces the brightness of delight. 24 They will be given pure wine to drink, which is kept preserved, sealed. 25 Its seal is upon musk; and for this should those who crave be eager. 26 With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim: 27 The spring from which drink the ones close to Allah. 28 Verily! (During the worldly life) those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. 29 And winked at one another as they passed by them; 30 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; 31 and when they saw the believers, they said: “Lo! These are the erring ones”; 32 Whereas they were not sent over them as watchers. 33 On the Day of Judgment, the believers will laugh at the disbelievers 34 On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things). 35 Will not the infidels pay for what they had done? 36

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
