The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
