Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Surely the fruit of the Zaqqum tree 43 Is food for the sinful. 44 Like murky oil, it boils within bellies 45 as boiling water bubbles. 46 (It will be said of such sinners), "Seize them and drag them into the middle of hell. 47 Then pour boiling water over his head as punishment. 48 Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: 49 "Truly this is what ye used to doubt!" 50 Lo! those who kept their duty will be in a place secured. 51 Amid gardens and watersprings, 52 Attired in fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security; 55 Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,- 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 We have made the Quran easy for you to recite so that perhaps they may take heed. 58 Wait then; they too are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
