It is He who made the earth tame for you - so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision - and to Him is the resurrection. 15 Have ye taken security from Him Who is in the heaven that He will not cause the earth to swallow you when lo! it is convulsed? 16 Or are ye secure that He Who is in the heaven will not send against you a whirlwind? Anon ye shall know what wise hath been My warning. 17 But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)? 18 Have they not regarded the birds above them spreading their wings, and closing them? Naught holds them but the All-merciful. Surely He sees everything. 19 [And] is there any, besides the Most Gracious, that could be a shield for you, and could succour you [against danger]? They who deny this truth are but lost in self-delusion! 20 Who is there to give you food in case He withholds His bounty? Yet they persist in rebellion and aversion. 21 So is one who walks inverted upon his face more rightly guided, or one who walks upright on the Straight Path? 22 Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow), and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give. 23 Say, "It is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered." 24 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 25 Say, "The knowledge is only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner." 26 But when they will behold it proximating sad will be the countenances of those who disbelieve, and it will be said: this is that which ye have been calling for. 27 Say: "See ye?- If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us,- yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?" 28 Say, "He is the Most Merciful; we have believed in Him, and upon Him we have relied. And you will [come to] know who it is that is in clear error." 29 Say to them: “Did you even consider: if all the water that you have (in the wells) were to sink down into the depths of the earth, who will produce for you clear, flowing water?” 30
