T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
