Warnings also came to the Pharaonites, 41 (They) belied all Our Signs, so We seized them with a Seizure of the All-Mighty, All-Capable to carry out what he Will (Omnipotent). 42 What, are your unbelievers better than those? Or have you an immunity in the Scrolls? 43 Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"? 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 But nay - the Last Hour is the time when they shall truly meet their fate; and that Last Hour will be most calamitous, and most bitter: 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
