He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 to a rich man, 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness 8 and fearfully, 9 you pay him no heed. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Noble and pious. 16 Perish Man! How unthankful he is! 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 to yield therein corn, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And olives and palms 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 And from his mother and father, 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 laughing and joyous 39 but others will be gloomy 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
