VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 Enter therein in peace, secure. 46 We shall remove all rancor from their hearts, and as brethren they shall recline on couches face to face. 47 No weariness will come upon them, nor will they be sent away from there. 48 ۞ Declare thou unto My bondmen: verily I! I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. 49 And that My punishment-- that is the painful punishment. 50 And tell them of the guests of Abraham, 51 When they entered unto him, and said: Salaman (peace)! [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Indeed! We are afraid of you." 52 They said: Be not afraid, surely we give you the good news of a boy, possessing knowledge. 53 He said: 'What is this, do you bring me glad tidings even though I am old' Of what do you give me glad tidings' 54 They replied: 'In truth we have given you glad tidings, do not be one of those who despair' 55 He said, “Who is it that despairs from the mercy of his Lord, except those who are astray?” 56 Messengers, what is your task?" 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 Except Lot's family, of whom we shall save all, 59 except his wife (about whom Allah says that) We have decreed that she shall be among those who stay behind." 60
