Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 we are the rangers, 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And surely they used to say: 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
