Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

Children of Israel! remember My favour wherewith I favoured you, and fulfil My covenant, and I shall fulfil your covenant, and Me alone shall ye dread. 40 And believe in that I have sent down, confirming that which is with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And sell not My signs for a little price; and fear you Me. 41 And do not mix up the truth with the falsehood, nor hide the truth while you know (it). 42 And perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, and Irka' (i.e. bow down or submit yourselves with obedience to Allah) along with Ar-Raki'un. 43 ۞ Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? 44 Seek you help in patience and prayer, for grievous it is, save to the humble 45 Who know that they have to meet their Lord, and that it is to Him they are to return. 46
