And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 We said, "Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink," 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 And commemorate Our Servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, possessors of Power and Vision. 45 for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 this is Our provision, unto which there is no end.' 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 adding, "Our Lord, give double punishment to those who brought this upon us." 61 They say, 'How is it with us, that we do not see men here that we counted among the wicked? 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
