Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
