Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
