▼ 8 The Spoils of War
Al-Anfaal 8 of 10
And let them not think - those who are bent on denying the truth - that they shall escape [God]: behold, they can never frustrate [His purpose]. 59 Muster against them whatever you are able of force and tethers (ropes) of horses, so that you strike terror into the enemies of Allah and your enemy, and others besides them whom you do not know but Allah does. All that you spend in the Way of Allah shall be repaid to you. You shall not be wronged. 60 ۞ And if they incline to peace, incline thou also to it, and trust in Allah. Lo! He, even He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 61 Should they intend to deceive thee,- verily Allah sufficeth thee: He it is That hath strengthened thee with His aid and with (the company of) the Believers; 62 Whose hearts He cemented with love. You could never have united their hearts even if you had spent whatever (wealth) is in the earth; but God united them with love, for He is all-mighty and all-wise. 63 O Prophet (Muhammad SAW)! Allah is Sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you. 64
