(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 He plunged the villages 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
