The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created man 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
