Verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) are Gardens of delight (Paradise) with their Lord. 34 What! shall We then make (that is, treat) those who submit as the guilty? 35 What is the matter with you? How could you judge this to be so? 36 Or, have you a Book from which you study 37 That therein is yours that which ye may choose? 38 Or have ye a covenant on oath from Us that reacheth to the Day of Judgment, that yours shall be all that ye ordain? 39 Ask them, which of them will vouch for that! 40 they will receive the same thing that the Muslims will? Do they have any witness to such an agreement? Let them bring out such witness, if they are truthful. 41 (Remember) the Day when the Shin shall be laid bare (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) and they shall be called to prostrate (to Allah), but they (hypocrites) shall not be able to do so, 42 Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound. 43 Let Me alone with him who belieth this discourse; step by step We lead them on when they perceive not. 44 Yet I bear with them, for lo! My scheme is firm. 45 Or are you asking them for some compensation so that they feel burdened with debt? 46 Or that the Ghaib (unseen here in this Verse it means Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz) is in their hands, so that they can write it down? 47 So wait with patience for the Command of thy Lord, and be not like the Companion of the Fish,- when he cried out in agony. 48 Had the favor of his Lord not come upon him, he would have been blamed, cast upon the shore. 49 But his Lord chose him as His Prophet and made him one of the righteous ones. 50 And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say, "Indeed, he is mad." 51 Yet it is purely an admonition to mankind. 52
