The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 by a burning fire 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
