And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 About what they used to do. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 When (you feel so) glorify your Lord with His praise and prostrate yourself before Him, 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
