The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Sin Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Clear Book. 2 Possibly you may risk your life (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) by grieving, because they did not believe. 3 We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 They have called (our revelation) lies. They will soon learn the consequences of what they mocked. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? 7 Surely in this there is a sign, yet most of them would not believe: 8 Your Lord is the Majestic and the All-merciful. 9
