AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Reminder. The righteous shall have a good place to return to: 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 this, verily, shall be Our provision [for you,] with no end to it! 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 “Here is another group that was with you, falling along with you”; they will answer, “Do not give them plenty of open space; they surely have to enter the fire – let them also be confined!” 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
