Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
