Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 again, you shall most certainly end up seeing it with absolute certainty. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
