T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
