The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
