We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
