The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
